The government has taken a major step to provide relief to employees and pensioners in distress for salaries and pensions in the lockdown enforced in the wake of the Corona epidemic. All treasuries and sub treasuries of the state will be included in essential services and will be opened on every working day from 8 am to 1 pm. In this regard, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh has issued orders to all the District Magistrates, Police Captain as well as Director General of Police and Director of Treasury, Pension and Entitlement.

In fact, the budget has been released for the new fiscal year from districts to departments. Now salary is to be paid to all government employees and teachers and pension to pensioners. Along with this, the Treasury Service has been included in the essential service in order to prevent the prevention of corona virus infection and other necessary measures, including non-payment of funds. This arrangement has been made under the provisions in the Disaster Management Act-2005.According to the said order, the treasury directorate will also be open from 8 am to 1 pm on every working day along with all treasuries and sub treasuries in the state. According to the order, an employee belonging to the treasury, sub-treasury and treasury directorate will be required to keep an identity card containing a photo issued from a competent level officer in their department. Based on this identity card, they will be allowed to use four-wheeler and two-wheelers to get to and from the office. In case of not having the identity card containing the said photo, it will be necessary to keep the DL, Aadhaar card or Voter card only with the identity card.The government has also given these instructions, if it is necessary for the person coming to the treasury or sub-treasury to thumb in any record, then for this, he has also asked to sanitize the equipment and other devices with the thumb of the person concerned. According to the Central Government Advisory, physical distance rules will be followed in the offices. Sanitization will also have to be made compulsory at the entrance of the offices.
