During the discussion through video conferencing with members of Udyog Mandal FICCI, MSME Minister Gadkari on Tuesday asked big industries to pay dues of small units. He said that I would like to urge you that large industries owe a lot of money to MSMEs.

Gadkari said that we were first considering enacting a law to expedite such payment. But now is not the right time for this. He said that we do not want to go that way. Gadkari said that the government’s effort to protect the MSMEs from the crisis caused by the corona epidemic, which contributes 29 per cent to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). He said that we have decided to increase the (business) limit for MSMEs, whose order is expected to come in 8-10 days.
