During the review meeting of the departments related to road connectivity in the Secretariat auditorium, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed with the officials on these two important schemes related to the development of the state.

There are still many villages in the state where there is lack of road connectivity. These are the villages which do not meet the norms of PMJSY, hence have not been able to connect by road till date. In such a situation, ropeways will be made for these villages. Apart from this, tunnel parking on the lines of Delhi Metro Underground Tunnel has been envisaged for the hill cities facing the problem of parking.

During the review meeting of the departments related to road connectivity in the Secretariat auditorium on Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami discussed these two important schemes related to the development of the state with the officials. Not only this, the Chief Minister has directed LNVs to form a separate ropeway division for connectivity to the villages deprived of the road. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to explore the possibilities of tunnel parking for the hill towns facing the problems of traffic jams.

Chief Engineer Public Works Department Hari Om Sharma told that both the schemes are important for the development of the state. The Chief Secretary suggested that small tunnel parking should be made here on the lines of Delhi Metro Underground railway station to get rid of the problem of jam, especially the tourist towns of the hills. In these, parking should be made to park 50 to 100 vehicles by making hundred to two hundred meter tunnels around the cities. On this suggestion of CS, the Chief Minister has given instructions to prepare a project for this. How many cities and how many places will be made this parking, something can be said only after the survey.

Apart from this, the department has been asked to create a separate wing to connect the villages deprived of road, major tourist places, bugyalas etc. through ropeway connectivity. Whose work will be to work only on ropeway connectivity. This wing will work from survey, preparation of DPR and exploring all other possibilities. Lonvi chief Hari Om Sharma said that for ropeway connectivity in the state, money is to be received under the scheme of the central government, but before that we have to prepare DPRs of all the projects and send them to the center. With the creation of a separate wing, this work will be done easily.

Departmental ministers will meet today regarding ropeway
