Uttarakhand News: CM directed officials to start the pilgrimage to winter destinations of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham.
To promote pilgrimage in winter, the state government will start winter travel to the places of stay of Char Dhams. Devotees coming to the places of stay of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham in winter will get a discount of 10 percent on staying in the hotels of Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation (GMVN). In this regard, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave instructions to the officials. CM will also visit the places of stay in winter travel.
During a high-level meeting at the CM residence on Friday, Chief Minister Dhami directed the officials to start the journey to the winter stay places of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham. Along with this, extensive publicity should also be done for winter travel. He asked the officials to make better arrangements for the devotees coming to the places of stay in winter. The Chief Minister will also review the travel arrangements of the winter stay places next week.
After Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, the Char Dham Yatra concluded for the next six months with the closing of the doors of Badrinath on November 17. In winter, Baba Kedarnath is worshipped in Omkareshwar temple located in Ukhimath. While worship and darshan are done in Kharsali of Yamunotri Dham and Mukhwa of Gangotri Dham. Worship of Badrinath Dham and Pandukeshwar and Narasimha temple are done in Joshimath.
