Five private Ayurvedic colleges get accreditation, Uttarakhand University has released a new schedule of counseling
Five more private AYUSH colleges have been recognized in the state. In view of this, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University has changed the counseling program. There are three government Ayurveda colleges in the state. While there are 16 private colleges. These include 13 Ayurvedic, two homeopathic and one Unani college.

The Registrar of Ayurveda University, Dr. Suresh Choubey said that Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College, Doon Institute of Medical Science, Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College, Shivalik Institute of Ayurveda and Research and Manjira Devi Ayurvedic College have been recognized in private colleges.

These have also been included in the second phase counseling. Candidates will now be able to fill the option on 19-20 February. While seat allocation will be done on 22 February. Candidates will be able to enroll on the allotted seats from 23-24 February.

Two colleges involved in conditional counseling

The registrar stated that two more colleges have been conditionally included in the second phase counseling. These include Haridwar Ayurvedic Medical College and Uttaranchal Unani Medical College. He said that they have been included in the counseling based on the order of Delhi High Court and the guidelines received from CCIM.

Dr. Ashwani Kamboj, Chairman, Uttarakhand Medical College Association, has thanked the Ministry of AYUSH and CCIM. He said that the Ayush session has been delayed this year due to Corona epidemic.

This process was completed by October 30 every year, but this time the new session will start from March-2021. He informed that some colleges have not been recognized yet. These too will get recognition soon. A letter will be sent to the Ministry of AYUSH demanding that separate counseling be made for the vacant seats.
