Uttarakhand: The poor will get 4500 ashes this year, approval granted under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
This year, the poor of Uttarakhand will get 4500 houses. The Union Government has approved the budget. Money will be released soon for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under this, 13 thousand houses are to be constructed across the state.
2300 houses have been given after completion
Two categories of houses are being constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the first category Beneficiary Lead Construction (BLC), 13 thousand houses have been approved across the state. Out of these, work on 8600 houses is going on while 2300 houses have been given after completion.
4500 families will get their accommodation by the end of this year
According to the Urban Development Directorate, the budget of 4500 houses is to come, which has been approved by the central government. It is expected that the center will get its first, second and third installments soon. It is believed that by the end of this year, so many families will get their accommodation.
Till now only 464 have been given money under this scheme.
The second category is Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP). Under this, those building houses should have their own land. Such people are given a subsidy of Rs 2.5 lakh (1.5 lakh from the center, 1 lakh from the state). Under this scheme, 13180 houses have been sanctioned in the state, but so far only 464 have been given money under this scheme.
That is, so many people in the state have built houses on their land with government help. According to Urban Development Director Vinod Kumar Suman, work is progressing rapidly on the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Housing will be provided to eligible people soon. Housing is being provided to all under this scheme in 57 cities of Uttarakhand.
