Road map of development ready in Uttarakhand, 15 thousand crore schemes will gain momentum
The people of the state have many expectations from the Trivendra government of Uttarakhand in the new year. The Trivandra government will complete three years on 17 March 2020. During the three years, the road map prepared by the state government for the development of the state, this year it is preparing to land.
So far, the state government has approved schemes worth Rs 15,000 crore under the externally aided scheme. Work on these plans is expected to begin this year. According to Secretary (Planning) Amit Singh Negi, “All these schemes will help in infrastructure development and improve water, electricity and health facilities in urban and rural areas”.
The Trivandra government has pledged to give jobs and stop the migration from the mountain. The government has prepared an action plan to solve both complex puzzles. This year will also be to work on these action plans.
5000 crore tender process will start
In addition to construction of Jamrani Dam and Song Dam Projects approved under external subsidized scheme, construction of new drinking water schemes under Smart City, Drinking Water Scheme in urban areas, completion of remaining works under Namami Gange Scheme, more than Rs 5000 crore this year. The tender process will start for the works of Under the smart city scheme of 1400 crores, the process of tendering of 1000 crores has been started and in the new year, work on this scheme will proceed rapidly.
All the toilets of Chardham will be replaced
The tourism department has prepared to completely replace all the toilets in Chardham. Before the start of the tourist season, the appearance and facilities of the four dham toilets will have changed completely.
Work will begin on Mussoorie Dehradun ropeway
Work on the Mussoorie Dehradun ropeway project will start this year at Rs 400 crore. The construction of this ropeway is expected to change the tourism sector significantly. Along with this, plans for beautification of Tehri Dam will also be seen on the ground in the new year.
600 million bridges will be ready by March
– Construction of about 600 crores of bridges damaged in the disaster will be completed by March. Under this Rs 800 crore project, bridges worth Rs 200 crore have already been constructed.
Dobra Chanthi will open in March
In the new year, people of Tehri district will get gift of Dobra Chandhi bridge. Construction of this bridge has been awaited for the last several years. The Public Works Department has targeted to open this suspension bridge in the month of March. The bridge, built at a cost of about Rs 150 crore, is the longest suspension bridge in the country.
Allweather and Rail project will also get vigor
The work of Chardham All Weather Road project will pick up faster this year. 220.66 km has been approved on this 889 km project. Land acquisition is also almost complete. 21 proposals up to 393.98 km have been approved. This is to cost 4371.87 crores. Now six projects worth 973 crores have not been approved due to environmental reasons. At the same time, the work of Rishikesh Karnprayag railway project has also started rapidly. Land acquisition of the project has been completed. The work of laying the railway line in Rishikesh is underway.
Mahakumbh and National Games big challenge
– In 2021, the state government has to organize Mahakumbh and National Games. Both these events are very important. This year, the works worth Rs. 1000 crores of Mahakumbh are to be lifted. Sports infrastructure arrangements are being prepared for the National Games at around Rs 400 crore. The biggest challenge for the government is to complete both these tasks in any case this year.
