In the Ankita Bhandari murder case, Swati Arya, wife of the main accused Pulkit Arya, testified as the second witness on behalf of the defense in the Additional District and Sessions Court (ADJ) on Friday. As the testimony was not completed, the next date has now been fixed as January 31. After the SIT investigation of the much talked about Ankita murder case of Uttarakhand, the trial is going on in the ADJ Court in Kotdwar. In this case, after the testimony of the prosecution and the cross-examination of the defense, the testimony of defense evidence started from January 3. On the said date, Bijendra Sharma, brother-in-law of the second accused Saurabh Bhaskar, resident of Jwalapur Haridwar, appeared in the court as the first witness of the defense and recorded his statement.

Now, on Friday, the statement of Swati Arya, wife of Pulkit Arya, was recorded as the second witness on behalf of the defense. Swati Arya said that the allegations against her husband Pulkit Arya were false. He recorded a detailed statement about the disappearance of deceased Ankita Bhandari, the vandalism that took place at Vanantra Resort and the conversation with the resort staff.
