Additional Secretary and Director Ayurveda Dr. Vijay Kumar Jogdande was nominated as the nodal officer at the government level for the conference. The Public Works Department was instructed to repair the venue and other related roads. 4,500 delegates from national and international level have registered to participate in the World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo being organized for the first time in Uttarakhand from 12 to 15 December. The registration process will continue till 15 November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may come on the occasion of the inauguration of the program.

On Tuesday, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a meeting with officials of various departments in the Secretariat for the preparations and arrangements of the event. Organizing the World Ayurveda Congress is a historic and golden opportunity for Uttarakhand. He instructed the officials to display the achievements of the state in the field of Ayurveda in the program. Apart from this, participation of AYUSH stakeholders, Ayurvedic educational institutions, industries, state and central level organizations, medicinal plant sector, people associated with AYUSH health care should be ensured. The Culture Department was given the responsibility of arranging special buses for various cultural programs and the Transport Department was given the responsibility of traffic management and arranging special buses for the movement of guests. Representatives, institutions, organizations, NGOs related to AYUSH and Ayurveda sector from all over the country as well as representatives from various countries of Europe, Africa, America, Asia will participate in the conference. The theme of the conference was kept as Digital Health. Secretary Ravinath Raman, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, Additional Secretary Vijay Kumar Jogdande and other officials were present in the meeting.
