INS Shardul expected to arrive at Porbandar carrying 233 stranded Indians from Iran
Tweeted by @indiannavyINS Shardul carrying 233 Indians stranded in Iran is expected to arrive at the Porbandar coast by today afternoon. Official sources said the naval ship is likely to arrive at Porbandar coast by this afternoon but its journey is subject to climatic conditions.
Quoting the officials our correspondent reports that most of the evacuees are fishermen from Valsad district. In view of the Covid 19 pandemic, the evacuated personnel will be entrusted to the care of State authorities after reaching Porbandar.
The ship embarked on its journey from Port of Bandar Abbas in Iran on Monday evening under the Operation Samudra Setu of Indian Navy
