Eat Right Smart City Action Plan prepared by Food Safety Authority Dehradun and Smart City Dehradun to ensure safe and nutritious food items to the citizens of the city.

District Food Safety Officer / Designated Officer PC Joshi informed that the Eat Right Smart City program has been prepared by the Food Safety Standards Authority of India, which has been prepared with the help of Smart City Dehradun.
In the initial phase, Sweet Shop Restaurant Hotel Street Food Vendor Meat Shop, Government and Private School College Training Institute Hospital Office Campus located in Dehradun Smart City area where food is prepared / ready to serve in the canteen. These are being linked to the Eat Right Campus portal under the Eat Right Campus programme. And in that such places in the city are also being selected where people and tourists of the city usually go to eat with family, especially in the evening. It will be developed into a clean street food hub by aggregating 25 to 50 petty food business operators as street food hubs. In this, Indian traditional street food and local organic food will be promoted. To promote Local Organic Fresh Fruit Vegetable Clean Fresh Fruit Vegetable 25 to 50 traders will be connected to make Clean Fresh Organic Fruit Vegetable Hub in which Training Skill Development Hygiene Rating Audit Agency authorized by Food Safety Standards Authority of India to assist traders. The trader can take help in rectifying the deficiencies in his business within the stipulated time frame which is available in the portal of Food Safety Standards Authority of India. Help desks have been set up in Smart City Office and District Food Safety Officer/Designated Officer’s office for registration of traders in the first phase. To mobilize the program, cooperation of trade boards and municipal corporation local administration will be taken.
