At the time of opening of the kapat in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham, the pilgrim priests turned down the offer of online worship on behalf of the Rawls of Dham. He says that it has already been a tradition that if the Rawal is not able to reach, then the officials of the respective dham can worship the priest by law.
Acharya Nareshnanand Nautiyal, a former member of the Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee, has written a letter to the CM regarding this matter. According to him, all the Vedic deeds and rituals in both dhams are performed on behalf of the Rawals at the time of opening the doors. But if Rawal is not present, then in Badrinath this work should be done on behalf of the priests of Dimri society.

At the same time, only the people of Kedarnath throne, Shukla clan, are eligible to conduct puja bhaga and other rituals during the opening of the kapat, when Rawal is not present in Kedarnath Dham. These people have been doing this work earlier in this type of situation.

He said that it is the responsibility of the government to bring Rawal to Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham for worship. If the Rawls are unable to reach due to Corona infection and lockdown, then this worship should be done by the rightful holders and the Tirtha Purohit.
Other temples also open at this time
According to Acharya, Nanda Devi Temple, Urvashi Temple, Mata Murti Temple of Bamani village in Badrinath Dham, Isht Devi of the people of Mana village, Temple of Devas, Badri Narasimha Temple, Mahaprabhu meeting etc. are also opened for darshan. In them also, worship is done on behalf of the Panda and Tirtha Purohit society.

What did the government say …
It was said in the meeting of the minister that the doors in the four dhams will be opened on time. If Rawal is not able to reach Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, then the worship of opening of the kapat can also be considered online. However, the government is trying to bring both the Rawals to Uttarakhand and the government has also written a letter to the Home Ministry for this.
