Kotdwar. If everything goes according to plan, soon the residents of the area will get relief from the problem of stray dogs. On the request of the Municipal Corporation, the Revenue Department has selected land in North Jhandichaur for the construction of Animal Birth Control Center (ABC Center) to control the increasing number of swans. The Municipal Corporation will authorize the implementing agency to prepare the DPR for the construction of ABC Center. After the DPR is ready, it will be sent to the government for approval.

The number of stray dogs in the area is continuously increasing. The situation is that there is a gathering of stray dogs in the streets throughout the day. Stray dogs often attack children and people passing by and injure them. The residents of the area are constantly demanding relief from the problem of stray dogs. For the construction of ABC Center in the year 2022, the Municipal Corporation selected the land adjacent to the cowshed located at Kashirampur Talla and prepared the DPR and sent it to the government for approval, but due to the said land being registered in the name of the Municipal Corporation, it could not get approval.

After this, the corporation administration demanded 12,000 square feet of land from the District Magistrate Pauri to be made available in the area. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, the Revenue Department has selected 0.0823 hectares of land in field number 106A of Khata Khatauni number 118 in North Jhandichaur of Haldukhata Patti. After the land is selected, now the DPR has to be prepared by the Municipal Corporation for the construction of ABC Center. After the selection of the implementing agency, a large DPR will be prepared and sent to the government for approval.

For the construction of ABC Center, 12,000 square feet of land has been selected by the Revenue Department in North Jhandichaur of Haldukhata Patti. Soon the DPR will be prepared and sent to the government for approval.
