In the race for development, the government is going to improve the laggards departments in implementing important central schemes and the use of budget. A 100-day agenda is being prepared for such departments on the instructions of Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat. In this period, the departments will have to complete all such works, which have not been hindered. Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat reviewed the annual budget expenditure and progress of departments in the state in the last March. It was also found in the review that many departments are lagging behind in using the budget.
The Chief Minister has asked to prepare a special agenda for them in view of the hue and cry of the departments in bringing the ambitious plans of the Central and State Government to the ground. A special action plan of 100 days will be prepared for the schemes and important programs whose progress is very slow. Departments will have to leave the slack in the same period and complete the incomplete plans rapidly. Chief Minister’s secretary Amit Negi has issued orders in this regard to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Secretaries in charge. For such departments, the agenda planning department will prepare. Departments have been instructed to make data related to this available to the government soon.
Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat will hold review meetings on the basis of this action plan. Departments will have to keep a detailed account of their performance in these meetings. No heelahwali and laxity will be tolerated in this. The concerned departmental officers have been made accountable for this.
