Allahabad High Court gives a shock to 4 Additional District Information Officers

Order given to four officers to return to their original post of class IV employee

Promotion of these workers was found against the rules of the former SP government.

Four employees who became Additional District Information Officers after getting promotion from class IV employee in the Information and Public Relations Department of Uttar Pradesh have received a setback from the Allahabad High Court. In the earlier Samajwadi Party government, considering the promotion given contrary to the rules, the High Court has ordered the four employees to wait on their original posts. Instructions have been issued to three of these employees to appoint a peon and one to be posted as a watchman.

According to the information, these promotions against the rules were challenged in the Allahabad High Court. On the court’s order, the UP government has again issued orders to the four officers to return to their original post of class IV employee. The deputed personnel are posted in Mathura, Bareilly, Firozabad and Bhadohi. The Uttar Pradesh Shramjeevi Sangh filed suit in the President’s Council of India. In response to this cognizance, the President’s Council of India issued a notice to 6 people including the information director of Uttar Pradesh and DM of Mathura recently.

These officers became Class IV employees
The four Additional District Information Officers posted in the District Information Office have been demoted, Narasimha of Bareilly as Peon, Dayashankar of Firozabad as Chowkidar, Vinod Kumar Sharma of Mathura as Cinema cum Publicity Assistant (Class IV staff) and Bhadohi (Saint) Anil Kumar Singh of Kabir Nagar) has been made cinema operator cum publicity assistant (class IV employee). Till now he was posted as Additional District Information Officer in these districts. He was promoted in the year 2014. After the complaint, this rule was considered against the investigation.
