In order to end the ongoing impasse between the farmers’ organizations and the government, the Supreme Court had formed a four-member committee (Committee on Farm Laws) in January to stop the implementation of agricultural laws.
A three-member committee formed by the Supreme Court regarding the Central Agricultural Laws has submitted its report in a sealed envelope. Seema Narwane, the woman president of the Shetkari organization, claims that the committee submitted the report in a sealed envelope to the Supreme Court on 19 March. A press release on this matter can also be issued by the committee soon. Explain that the committee appointed by the Supreme Court includes Anil Dhanwat, Ashok Gulati and Pramod Joshi.
Regarding this report, it is being claimed that the committee has prepared its report only after talking to farmers’ organizations and agriculture experts and in this report, the agricultural laws passed by the Parliament have been reviewed. It is to be known that the protesters of farmers have been going on the boundaries of Delhi for nearly 4 months in protest against the three new agricultural laws of the central government. Farmers have been demonstrating at Ghazipur, Tikri and Singhu borders since November 2020 to demand withdrawal of all three agricultural laws.
This committee was formed to resolve the issue of farmer movement

In addition to Anil Ghanwat, the Supreme Court had made the Indian Farmers Union president Bhupinder Singh Mann, agro-economists Ashok Gulati and Pramod Kumar Joshi a member of this committee. But then later, Bhupinder Singh Mann, president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, withdrew his name from the committee.
Within two months, the court was instructed to report its dream
It was decided that this committee would submit its report to the court within two months after hearing the favor of the farmers who support and oppose the agricultural laws. The Supreme Court had constituted this committee so that the court could get an unbiased opinion on the three agricultural laws. The court had sought opinion from the committee on which provisions in the three agricultural laws are in the interest of the farmers and which are not. After this, through an advertisement in the newspapers, the opinion of the people concerned on the three agricultural laws, comments and suggestions were also sought.
