Formation of Uttarakhand cabinet: 11 ministers took oath, eight cabinet ministers and three ministers of state became independent charge

His entire cabinet came into existence on Friday after Tirath Singh Rawat was crowned as Chief Minister in Uttarakhand. 11 ministers took oath of office and secrecy at the ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. Four new faces have been added to the cabinet. Barring former cabinet minister Madan Kaushik of the Trivandra cabinet, all other ministers have got a place in Tirath’s team. Apart from political experience in the formation of the cabinet, an attempt has been made to create regional and ethnic balance.

In the new cabinet, four cabinet and two ministers of state (independent charge) have been sworn in from Garhwal division. Pauri Garhwal dominated the cabinet with four ministers. Four cabinet ministers and one minister of state (independent charge) have also been made from Kumaon division.

The oath taking ceremony began at around 5:30 pm on Friday evening. Chief Secretary Om Prakash sought permission from Governor Babirani Maurya to start the program. He first named the members of the cabinet. The Governor in turn administered the oath of office and secrecy to all cabinet and state ministers.

These four new faces got space
Former cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat, who was a four-time minister in UP and Uttarakhand in the Tirath cabinet, Bishan Singh Chufal, an MLA from DDhat, a cabinet minister in the Khanduri government, three-time MLA Ganesh Joshi, defeating Congress veteran Harish Rawat from Haridwar Rural seat Names of Swami Yatishwarananda are included.

Maharaj took the first oath

Senior leader Satpal Maharaj took the oath of office and secrecy at the swearing-in ceremony. Banshidhar Bhagat, who resigned from the post of BJP state president, joined the cabinet, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat in the third place, Bishan Singh Chufal on the fourth, Yashpal Arya on the fifth, Arvind Pandey on the sixth, Subodh Uniyal on the seventh and in the eighth place. Pauri district dominated in Tirath’s cabinet too

Pauri district also dominated the Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat’s cabinet. Five ministers including the Chief Minister from the Pauri district are in the new cabinet. Among them, the Chief Minister and a Cabinet Minister are native to Pauri, while two Cabinet and one Minister of State are MLAs from the Legislative Assemblies of the district. In the cabinet of former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, only five people including the Chief Minister from Pauri district got a place.

The maximum number of ministers have been appointed from this district in the state cabinet. The chief minister is a native of Siron village in Kaljikhal block of the district, while cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal hails from Auni village in Pauri block. MLA from Kotdwar, Dr. Harak Singh Rawat has once again been given the responsibility of Cabinet Minister. Dr. Rawat is a resident of Gahad village of Khirsu block. Spiritual guru and MLA from Chaubattakhal assembly seat Satpal Maharaj has been made cabinet minister for the second time in the new cabinet. Maharaj is a native of Dhedgaon in Pokhara block. In the cabinet of Tirath, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has been given the responsibility of Minister of State. Dr. Dhan Singh is a resident of Naogaon block Thalisain.

Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat did not get promotion
In the new cabinet of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat once again got a place, but he has not been given promotion. While Dr. Rawat’s name was leading in the race of Chief Minister. Even after this, like the old cabinet, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has been made the Minister of State in this cabinet too.

Satpal Maharaj’s stature has been enhanced in the new cabinet. In the cabinet of former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, he was the third among cabinet ministers to be sworn in, while in the new cabinet, he was the second minister to take oath after the Chief Minister and the first minister as a cabinet minister. It is clear that in the new government, Maharaj has been ranked second after the Chief Minister.

Five ministers from four districts of Kumaon became

In the cabinet of CM Tirath Singh Rawat, he has become a minister from every district except Bageshwar and Champawat districts of Kumaon division. The number of ministers from Kumaon has increased to five.
Since the formation of the state, Nainital district has been represented in every cabinet. But there was no minister from Nainital district in the cabinet of former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. This time the shortage has been removed by the inclusion of former BJP President and Kaladhungi MLA Banshidhar Bhagat in the cabinet of Tirath Singh Rawat.

If we talk about Kumaon, then two ministers from Udhamsingh Nagar and one from Almora district were included in the cabinet in the previous cabinet. But this time in the cabinet, Banshidhar Bhagat, Yashpal Arya, Arvind Pandey, Bishan Singh Chufal and Rekha Arya have been included in the cabinet. Apart from this, except for two districts of Kumaon, Bageshwar and Champawat, there has been representation in the cabinet from Nainital, Almora, Udham Singh Nagar, Pithoragarh district. According to political experts, all the aspects including the caste equation have been taken care of, the experience of the leaders who are included in the cabinet. Banshidhar Bhagat and Bishan Singh Chufal have also been former state presidents from Kumaon.
