The path has been cleared for permanent recruitment to technician posts in Uttarakhand Health Department. The cabinet has approved the Technician Cadre Service Rules of the Department of Medical Education, Uttarakhand.
Now through the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board, regular appointment can be made to 347 posts of technician. Due to lack of service manual of technician cadre in the state regular appointments were not being made on vacant posts. Due to which services were being used through contract and outsource till now.

There are 347 Technician posts vacant in the state. Due to the formation of service manual, regular appointment will be made through these posts through Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board. The technical cadre manual includes services of operation theater, lab technician, ECG, radiology, radio therapy. All these posts will be in Group C category. Regular technicians can also be transferred from one medical college to another medical college.
Other major decisions
– The authority given to the Chief Minister to reduce the relief given for the purchase of essential materials in lockdown from seven in the morning to one in the afternoon.
– The ministers will stop visiting the districts, the minister in-charge will review from the residence, will give instructions to the officials through video conferencing.
– Local administration will take permission to distribute ration and cooked food. Social and political institutions will not be able to distribute food and ration arbitrarily.
– Review of medical facilities to fight Kovid-19 in the state. Facilities and arrangements will be increased.
