India sets new record on COVID Vaccination Drive Day 228

 

Highest Ever administration of 1.04 Cr doses today until 7 pm

 

India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crosses 65.12 Cr

 

India home to more than 50 Cr persons with one shot of COVID Vaccine

 

Recovery Rate currently at 97.53%

 

30,941New Cases reported in the last 24 hours

 

India’s Active Caseload (3,70,640)is1.13% of Total Cases

 

Weekly Positivity Rate (2.51%) less than 3% for last 67 day

 

In a significant achievement, a record high of more than 1.04 crore (1,04,42,184) Vaccine Doses have been administered today, just five days after India witnessed the first day of administration of 1 Cr vaccine doses. India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has alsoconsequently crossed 65 Crore (65,12,14,767) landmark milestone today.

 

This is as per the 7 pm provisional report. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.

 

Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya lauded the entire country for the achievement of more than 1 Cr doses for the second day within a span of five days.

 

The cumulative coverage of vaccine doses, segregated based on population priority groups, is as follows:

The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.

The recovery of 36,275 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,19,59,680.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.53%.

Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 65 consecutive days now.

30,941 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The Active Caseload is presently 3,70,640. Active cases presently constitute 1.13% of the country’s total Positive Cases.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 13,94,573tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 52.15 Cr (52,15,41,098) cumulative tests.

While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.51% remains less than 3% for the last 67 days now. The Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.22%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 5% for 85 consecutive days now.

AYUSH medicines also proved effective in dealing with post Covid issues: MunjparaMahendrabhai

 

A Webinar organized as part of the celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

 

Minister of State for Ayush Dr. MunjparaMahendrabhai said that Ayush medicines have also proved effective in dealing with post-Covid issues. He added that the Corona pandemic was still lurking around and there was a need for everyone to be alert and follow the Covid protocol.

The Minister was addressing a webinar organized by All India Institute of Ayurveda under  Ministry of AYUSH, on the role of AYUSH system in the management of COVID-19 on Monday. The event was organized as the first in a series of week-long AYUSH programmes under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a celebration to commemorate 75 years of India’s freedom next year.
