Yellow ration card holders will be provided additional food grains for three months: CM Tirath Rawat

 

Dehradun. On the instructions of Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, special food grains will be provided under the state food scheme due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. This assistance will be valid only for yellow ration card holders.
In view of the Corona infection, additional food grains will be made available to the ten million yellow ration card holders of the state for three months. At present, food grains are available seven and a half kilos per ration card. Which has been increased to 20 kg per month. In which ten kg of rice and ten kg of wheat will be found. The value of which will remain at the current rates. Which is Rs 8.60 per kg for wheat and Rs 11.00 per kg for rice.
This special scheme will be available to card holders for the months of May, June and July. In which the state government will incur an additional revenue burden of Rs 37.00 crore. Which the state government will bear. The ration for the month of May will start being distributed from the 18th and the ration for the remaining months will be distributed on one date of every month. Apart from this, the Chief Minister Dal Nurture Scheme will continue continuously. In which, for the first time, all the 23 lakh ration card holders will get two kilos of gram dal. After that whatever pulses will be available from the Government of India, they will be made available in the coming months.
