The body of martyr Jawan Devendra Singh was brought to Guptkashi today while taking the iron from intruding terrorists in Kupwara. There Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat paid floral chakra on the mortal remains of the martyred soldier and paid tribute.
Shaheed Devendra Singh’s mortal body was brought to Guptkashi today, where the Chief Minister gave the final salute to the martyr. Garhwal MP Tirath Singh Rawat and Kedarnath MLA Manoj Rawat also paid tribute to Shaheed Devendra, after which the body of the martyr was sent by army vehicle to his village. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is the land of brave soldiers. The government stands with the martyr’s family. District Magistrate Mangesh Ghildiyal, Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh, CMO Dr. SK Jha and others were present on the occasion.
On Sunday, two soldiers of Uttarakhand who were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, one of them is Devendra Singh, a resident of Tinsooli village in Rudraprayag district. The second martyr is Jawan Amit Anthwal of Kola village in Kaljikhal block of Pauri district. Amit is the only brother of two sisters. Amit’s mother’s name is Bhagwati Devi and father’s name is Nagendra Prasad. Amit was engaged in July 2019 and the wedding was scheduled in October.
