Retired Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, who played a key role in the Kedarnath reconstruction after the 2013 disaster, joined the AAP party on Monday. Colonel Kothiyal joined the Aam Aadmi Party as part of the ‘Mission Uttarakhand Navnirman’ program at a hotel on Haridwar Road. He was welcomed by AAP workers led by AAP’s state in-charge Dinesh Mohania and state president SS Kaler. He said that the AAP party has done a better job in Delhi. In unemployment and health sector, the party will also work strongly in Uttarakhand. The aim of the party is to keep the youth ahead and develop in the state.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address the program through virtual medium. Besides, Kejriwal will also join party workers and people in 70 assembly constituencies. During this time, he will also announce a plan for change in Uttarakhand.

Colonel Ajay Kothiyal’s military background in the military family-dominated region can help the party to establish its presence in Uttarakhand. Let us know that recently in an election rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared Sainik Dham as the fifth Dham in Uttarakhand. There are a large number of ex-servicemen and army families in the state. In view of this, the BJP had announced to build a military dham in Dehradun, then the Congress had launched a campaign to honor the soldiers.
