लैंसडौन वन प्रभाग के लालढांग रेंज में आपसी संघर्ष में मृत नर हाथी।The carcass of the tusker elephant was found in Laldhang Range of Lansdowne Forest Division. As soon as the information was received, the top officials of the department reached the spot. Both elephant teeth were found safe. After inspecting the site, officials have said the cause of death of the elephant is mutual conflict.
Laldhang range officer Binderpal Singh said that the forest personnel patrolling on Tuesday evening found the body of a male elephant lying in the compartment number 8 (B) of Sigaddi Beat. The employees immediately reported this to the higher authorities. On Wednesday, DFO Akhilesh Tiwari, SDO Girish Chandra Belwal arrived at the scene along with a team of veterinarians BM Gupta and Dr. Rajesh Kumar. The post mortem of the elephant was done by the team of veterinarians. After this he was buried. The age of the dead elephant is about 35 years. There were many deep wounds on the elephant’s body. Several trees were found broken around the scene. An elephant herd was also hovering nearby. Ranger Vindarpal told that the cause of the elephant’s death seems to be mutual conflict. Further action will be taken after the post mortem report is received.
