  A team of 25 members was flagged off by the Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami to find the old routes of Chardham from the Chief Minister's residence. Whose team was welcomed by the dignitaries present for the survey tracking from the starting point of the foot route at Swargashram under the Garhwal district in the afternoon, with flowers garlands and sent them to the next stop, giving their best wishes.

Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has started this campaign in association with Track the Himalayas. Under this, a team of 25 members of experts will travel more than 1200 km to find the old routes on the Chardham track. This campaign will be run by the team for about 50 days. The team will work to find the old Char Dham and Winter Char Dham route.

During the program organized at Swarg Ashram, Additional Director Tourist Vivek Singh Chauhan said that the Chardham Yatra, which used to be mythologically operated, used to pass through Kali Kamali and other rocks. But with the development of roads over time, the use of those mythical routes and chattis has started decreasing. Which the government intends to revive. Where, on the initiative of the tourism department, there is a plan to revive the Chattis associated with the Chardham Yatra footpath once again. After starting the Char Dham on foot through Chatti routes, rural areas falling on the route will also be connected with homestays and other schemes. Due to which the local people will also get employment as well as there will be a possibility of tourists in these areas after being a foot tracker. The foot trekking team will prepare the survey report by traveling from Devprayag to Yamunotri Gangotri Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham via Garuda Chatti.
Giving information, District Tourism Development Officer Pauri Khushal Singh Negi said that the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, flagged off the Chardham Trail Team for documentation, survey of the ancient walkways and rocks under the Char Dham Yatra walkways.
