STF has arrested six accused in the paper leak case in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission examination. These include the computer programmer of the outsourced company doing the secret work of the commission, the ex-PRD employee expelled from the commission and the director of the coaching center. It was the computer programmer who leaked the paper and made it available to the other accused. In return, he got Rs 60 lakh. STF has recovered Rs 37.10 lakh from the accused.

The commission had conducted graduate level examinations in various departments for 916 posts in December 2021. Around two lakh candidates had appeared in it. One lakh sixty thousand candidates had passed the examination. After the results were out, many student organizations raised questions.

Two days ago, a delegation of the unemployed union had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami demanding an inquiry regarding the irregularities in the examination. The Chief Minister had directed the DGP to take appropriate action in the matter.
Case handed over to STF
On the orders of the DGP, immediately after registering a case in Raipur police station, the investigation of the matter was handed over to the STF. After this, STF’s DIG Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S had given instructions to disclose the matter by forming separate teams under the leadership of SSP STF Ajay Singh. The STF on Sunday arrested six accused who were involved in malpractices in the examination.

DIG Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S said that the accused have been identified as Jaijit Das resident of Panditwadi, Dehradun, Manoj Joshi resident of village Mayoli, Almora, Manoj Joshi resident of village Pati, Champawat, Kulvir Singh Chauhan resident of Chandpur, Bijnor, Shoorveer Singh Chauhan resident of Kalsi, Dehradun and Gaurav Negi, resident of Kichha, is in the form of Udham Singh.

He said that out of these, Jaijit Singh is a computer programmer in RMS Techno Solution India Pvt Ltd, an outsource company doing various functions in the commission. This is what leaked the paper of the commission. In lieu of this, Rs 60 lakh was given to him by the other accused. Whereas, Manoj Joshi has been an employee of the Commission in the past and Kulveer Singh Chauhan is the director of a coaching center located in Dalanwala. Shoorveer Singh Chauhan played the role of the mediator.
