Now all the Administrative Secretaries will review the complaints of their respective departments every Monday in a week and will fix the responsibility of the concerned officer if pending. These instructions were given by the Chief Minister in a meeting on Good Governance held at the State Secretariat.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a tough stand on non-redressal of public grievances. He has directed to fix the accountability of the officers who hang more complaints. He said that no file should be left unnecessarily.
On his instructions, now all the administrative secretaries will review the complaints of their respective departments every Monday in a week and will fix the responsibility of the concerned officer if pending. These instructions were given by the Chief Minister in a meeting on Good Governance held at the State Secretariat.
The Chief Minister said that good governance should be seen at the lower level of the administration. Administrative officers should go to the last person standing in line and solve their problems. Time should be fixed for meeting the general public in districts and tehsils also. In relation to good governance, held a meeting with the officials in the secretariat. The roster of tehsil days and multi-purpose camps should be fixed. The grievances of the people should be redressed on the spot.

The Chief Minister directed that the complaints received on CM Helpline 1905 and Apni Sarkar Portal should be properly resolved. Minimum number of complaints pending. If more complaints are pending, the accountability of the concerned officers should be fixed. People should get maximum convenience. We are all for the people, for the service of the people. Unnecessary formalities should be eliminated.
Review at secretary level every Monday
He directed to review the redressal of public grievances related to his department at the secretary level every Monday. Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi was asked to review the Social Welfare and Health Department separately.
No meeting day fixed for meeting visitors
The Chief Minister said that no meeting day should be fixed once a week in the Secretariat. On this day all the officers should be present in their office to meet the visitors.
The right to service should be strengthened
The Chief Minister directed to further strengthen the Right to Service Act. Asked to add more services to it. The CM said that good governance should be felt by the people. Work like a skilled team leader in this DM. Also, effective and continuous monitoring should be done at each level. More services should be added in Apni Sarkar Portal. Clear decisions should be taken in high level meetings and their implementation should be ensured in time limit.
Generate data on pending complaints
He said that each department should have the data of how many complaints are pending with them. It should be reviewed at the secretary level. Do not leave any file unnecessarily. Make maximum use of e-office. This makes file tracking easy.
Make a plan for door-to-door public service
The Chief Minister said that a solid plan should be prepared to provide essential services to the common people from door to door. First it should be run on a pilot basis, it can be fully implemented after getting better results. This will also provide employment to the youth of the state. Adequate arrangements should be made to ensure that the benefits of all the schemes are available to the beneficiaries in real sense through DBT.
Senior officers go to government schools, teach children
Said that senior officers should visit government schools from time to time and teach children. Motivate them to achieve their goals in life. This will give great inspiration to the children. Good governance is possible only when the behavior of all of us will improve and we become sensitive towards the problems of common people.
