Arya Mahasammelan started at Arya Samaj Mandir on behalf of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Uttarakhand and Arya Samaj Uttarakhand. The Mahasammelan was inaugurated by the chief guest Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali Yogpeeth Haridwar. Chief guest Acharya Balkrishna said that there is a need to make the future generation cultured and character-oriented through Gurukul Ashrams. Only by propagating the teachings of the Vedas can India become a Vishwaguru again. The ideas of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and the teachings of the Vedas should also be propagated.

On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna honored the families who played an active role in the Arya Samaj Mandir for five generations. The families of Anand Prakash, Rajendra Grover, Sushil Kumar Gupta were among those honored. The students of Arya Kanya Inter College Kotdwar presented a short drama based on the last moments of the life of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Swami Pranawanand Saraswati said that Arya Samaj is a school of values. Earlier, in the first session, a program of yoga practice and meditation took place under the guidance of Yogacharya Yogendra Medhavi and co-convenor Yagyadutt Arya. Acharya Dr. Priyamvada Veda Bharati and Brahmacharini girls of Kanya Gurukul Najibabad performed Sandhya and Yagya. Ankit Shastri gave renditions of Bhajans. A team of 52 Arya Samaj people who came from Nepal is also participating in the conference. In the afternoon, a procession was taken out by Arya Samaj in the city with bands. On this occasion, former cabinet ministers Swami Yatishwaranand, Dr. Yogesh Shastri, Mahendra Ahuja, DP Yadav, Dayanand Tiwari, Yashpal Shastri and Chairman of Go Seva Commission, Pandit Rajendra Anthwal etc. were present.
