{"id":9692,"date":"2020-01-30T15:22:37","date_gmt":"2020-01-30T09:52:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=9692"},"modified":"2020-01-30T15:22:37","modified_gmt":"2020-01-30T09:52:37","slug":"cabinet-approves-official-amendments-in-the-national-commission-for-homoeopathy-bill-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=9692","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet approves official amendments in the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Cabinet approves official amendments in the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,\u00a0has given its approval to\u00a0the official amendments in the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2019 for amending the Homoeopathy Central Council (HCC) Act, 1973.\u00a0 Presently, the Bill is pending in Rajya Sabha.<\/p>\n<p>The amendments will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ensure necessary regulatory reforms in the field of Homoeopathy education.<\/li>\n<li>enable transparency and accountability for protecting the interest of the general public.\u00a0 The Commission will promote availability of affordable healthcare services in all parts of the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Homoeopathy Central Council (HCC) Act, 1973 was enacted for constitution of a Central Council of Homoeopathy for regulation of education and practice of Homoeopathy, for maintenance of Central Register of Homoeopathy and for matters connected therewith.\u00a0 This Act has been modelled on the pattern of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.\u00a0 The broad functions, constitution, regulation making powers are identical to those of the Medical Council of India.\u00a0 While the Act provides a solid foundation for the growth of medical education and practice in Homoeopathy, but various bottlenecks in the functioning of Council have been experienced, which has resulted in serious detrimental effects on medical education as well as delivery of quality Homoeopathy healthcare services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cabinet approves official amendments in the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2019 The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,\u00a0has given its approval to\u00a0the official amendments in the National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2019 for amending the Homoeopathy Central Council (HCC) Act, 1973.\u00a0 Presently, the Bill is pending in Rajya Sabha.
