{"id":8526,"date":"2019-12-24T04:03:23","date_gmt":"2019-12-23T22:33:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=8526"},"modified":"2019-12-24T04:03:23","modified_gmt":"2019-12-23T22:33:23","slug":"morth-amends-mv-rules-mandating-adherence-to-ais-155-to-enhance-vehicular-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=8526","title":{"rendered":"MoRTH Amends MV Rules Mandating Adherence to AIS-155 to Enhance Vehicular Security"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>MoRTH Amends MV Rules Mandating Adherence to AIS-155 to Enhance Vehicular Security<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The Union Ministry\u00a0of Road Transport &amp; Highways (MoRTH) has notified GSR935 (E) dated 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0December,2019 regarding to Automotive Industry Standards (AIS)-155 in respect of Microdot identifiers\u00a0 if affixed\u00a0 on\u00a0 the motor vehicles and their parts, components, assemblies, sub-assemblies through amendment in Rule 92 of the Central Motor vehicles (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules1989. Microdots will enhance the security of vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>As per a new notification, \u201c The Manufacturers who are affixing microdot identifiers in the motor vehicles and their parts, components, assemblies, sub-assemblies shall conform to Automotive Industry Standards (AIS)-155 as amended from time to time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Central Motor vehicles (Fourteenth Amendment) Rules, 2019 comes into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p>The draft rules to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 were published, vide notification of the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated\u00a0 the 24<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0day of July,2019, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby.
