NTA usesComputer Based Test (CBT) mode for the first time \u00a0Revised date of examination for the States of Assam and Meghalaya will be announced soon<\/p>\n

The\u00a0National Testing Agency (NTA)<\/strong>conducted the\u00a0Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination<\/strong>on 15 December, 2019 for\u00a02,66,573<\/strong>candidates, covering 05 subjects in two shifts. Theexam was conducted in 581centres in 207 cities. The exam wasina\u00a0Computer Based Test (CBT)<\/strong>\u00a0mode for the first time.<\/p>\n

  • A\u00a0Control Room<\/strong>was opened and\u00a019 Regional Coordinators, 200 CityCoordinators<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0600 Observers<\/strong>were positioned.<\/li>\n
  • Live CCTV Surveillance<\/strong>\u00a0wasdone in 581examination centres to curb malpractices in the examinations. The NTA made arrangements for live viewing at control room situated in the NTA. Live Recording of CCTVs Systems of all examination centres including remote locations was also visible at the NTA Control Centre.A total of more than 5000 CCTV Cameras in each shift were installed.<\/li>\n
  • Mock Test<\/strong>\u00a0was available through a network of more than 4800 Test Practice Centres (TPCs), especially for students of rural areas. Further the Mock Test was also available online and as on date, more than 2.78 Crore page views have taken place.<\/li>\n
  • Jammers- In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres. A total of more than 5000 jammers in eachshift wereused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Overall attendance percentage was 80.17% for I Shift and 81.29% for II Shift<\/strong>. City-wise (State-wise) Attendance Percentage is at Annexure I and II.<\/p>\n

    The examination for 7,772 candidates scheduled to appear on 15 December, 2019 from 24 Centres located in the States of\u00a0\u201cAssam\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cMeghalaya\u201d<\/strong>was postponed.
