AI Film Festival Receives 68 entries from 18 Countries; 27 Selected for Competition Awards

WAVES Film Bazaar Presents Awards to Winners for AI-Driven Filmmaking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The WAVES Film Bazaar<\/strong> and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI)<\/strong>, in collaboration with LTIMindtree<\/strong>, launched the first-ever AI Film Festival and Cinema AI Hackathon<\/strong> in this 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), in Goa. This pioneering initiative marks a significant step in India\u2019s exploration of Artificial Intelligence in cinema, merging creative expression with cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificial Intelligence Film Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival received a diverse and impressive lineup of 68 films, representing 18 countries, award winning film packages from 5 international AI film festivals, (Adobe Max, AI Film3 festival from USA, Burano AI Film Festival from Italy, Metamorph AI Film Awards from UK, Omni Film Festival from Australia) and 14 individual filmmakers from across the world. This rich participation underscores the rapid rise of AI-assisted storytelling and the growing community of creators experimenting with next-generation cinematic tools. From these submissions, the festival selected 27 films for the Competition category and 4 films for the Non-Competition showcase, curated for their artistic merit, technical innovation, and narrative depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Winners of Competition Awards for AI Film Festival was declared at the concluding ceremony of WAVES Film Bazaar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Craft Honoured the following film projects with the following distinguished awards to celebrate excellence in AI-driven filmmaking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The Craft Master Award \u2013 Best AI Short Film (\u20b93,00,000)<\/strong>\u00a0Award was presented to English language film\u00a0NAGORI<\/strong>\u00a0directed by Guillaume Hurbault from France. It stands out as the most outstanding AI-generated short film, bagging recognition for excellence in storytelling, execution, and emotional resonance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The Craft Vanguard Award \u2013 Most Innovative Use of AI \/ Experimental Narrative (\u20b92,00,000)<\/strong>\u00a0was presented to English language film \u2018The Cinema That Never Was\u2019 directed by Mark Wachholz from Germany. The film was honoured for its bold experimentation, unconventional narrative structures, and pioneering use of AI technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. The Craft Spectra Award \u2013 Best AI Animation \/ Visual Design (\u20b91,00,000)\u00a0<\/strong>was\u00a0<\/strong>presented to English language film \u2018Kyra\u2019 directed by Meta Puppet\u2019 from USA. It is recognized for its exceptional visual artistry, design innovation, and aesthetic accomplishments enabled through AI tools and techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Jury Special Mention\u00a0<\/strong>was presented\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0<\/strong>English\u00a0<\/strong>language\u00a0<\/strong>film\u00a0\u2018<\/strong>The Last Backup Final Part\u2019 by Sreerithanya M. and Hindi film \u2018Miracle on Kachua Beach\u2019 by Shivanshu Nirupam. These films have demonstrated exceptional promise in AI Film making.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
