The Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment, releases Consumer Price Index Numbers for Agricultural Labourers and Rural Labourers (CPI \u2013 AL & RL) with the base year 2019=100 for the month of September 2025. These indices are based on data collected from a set of 787 sample villages across 34 States\/UTs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the month of September 2025, the All-India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (Base: 2019=100) decreased by 0.11 points to 136.23<\/strong>, while the index for Rural Labourers decreased by 0.18 points, reaching 136.42<\/strong>. The Food Index decreased by 0.47 points for Agricultural Labourers (AL) and 0.58 points for Rural Labourers (RL) in September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year-on-year inflation rate for Agricultural Labourers and Rural Labourers stood at -0.07%<\/strong> and 0.31%<\/strong>, respectively, in September 2025. The food inflation in September 2025 stood at -2.35% for AL and -1.81% for RL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
