{"id":3241,"date":"2019-05-09T11:15:01","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T05:45:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=3241"},"modified":"2019-05-09T11:15:01","modified_gmt":"2019-05-09T05:45:01","slug":"pg-renames-merck-limited-as-procter-gamble-health-ltd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=3241","title":{"rendered":"P&#038;G renames Merck Limited as Procter &#038; Gamble Health Ltd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi:<\/strong>\u00a0Global personal healthcare leader Procter and Gamble on Tuesday announced renaming of Merck Ltd as Procter &amp; Gamble Health Limited, following P&amp;G\u2019s global acquisition of the consumer health business of Merck KGaA.<\/p>\n<p>The company received an approval from the Registrar of Companies for change of name from Merck Limited to Procter &amp; Gamble Health Limited, effective 6 May, the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Today marks the beginning of an exciting new era for Procter &amp; Gamble Health Limited (formerly Merck Limited), one of India\u2019s largest consumer health companies. Our new name reflects our new identity as part of the P&amp;G group and signifies the coming together of strong consumer health capabilities and cultures. Together, we are working towards leveraging our combined expertise to develop categories and brands that meet today\u2019s needs and tomorrow\u2019s opportunities,&#8221; said Milind Thatte, Managing Director, Procter &amp; Gamble Health Limited, in a statement<\/p>\n<p>The decision to change the name of the listed entity in India follows the successful completion of P&amp;G\u2019s global acquisition of the consumer health business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. The consumer health business was transferred to P&amp;G on 1 December 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Finn, President, Global Personal Health Care, Procter &amp; Gamble said \u201cI am delighted to announce the new name of our listed entity which will now be known as Procter &amp; Gamble Health Limited.
