The \u202fDepartment for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) \u202fand\u202fHafele India Pvt. Ltd.\u202fsigned a\u202fMemorandum of Understanding (MoU)\u202f on 07 May 2025 in New Delhi, to strengthen India\u2019s\u202fmanufacturing and innovation ecosystem\u202fby empowering\u202fproduct startups,\u202fMSMEs, and entrepreneurs. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to building\u202fresilient local supply chains\u202fand accelerating India\u2019s vision of becoming a\u202fglobal manufacturing hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this strategic collaboration, Hafele will drive initiatives that support\u202fproduct innovation,\u202flocal sourcing, and\u202fentrepreneurship through\u202ftargeted investments,\u202fmentorship, and integration into\u202fglobal value chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hafele will expand its support to startups and MSMEs by offering access to\u202finfrastructure,\u202fsupplier development opportunities,\u202ftechnical collaboration, and\u202fmarket access. Hafele has already committed over\u202fUSD 2.5 million\u202fin an Indian appliance manufacturing startup and has extended\u202fpurchase orders to Indian MSME manufacturers\u202fof architectural hardware and furniture fittings. DPIIT will facilitate ecosystem access through Startup India, enabling startup connections, program participation, and co-branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MoU was signed by\u202fDr. Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT and\u202fMr. Frank Schloeder, Managing Director \u2013 South Asia, Hafele India, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
