On the fifth day of the seven-day special camp of the NSS unit of PM Shri GGIC Kotdwar, on Sunday, volunteer students were given information about child rights, their protection and their use and misuse and traffic rules. During the program, the police also distributed awareness pamphlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ashok Boudai, President of District Child Welfare Committee Pauri Garhwal, said that children easily go astray due to ignorance and they take wrong steps. This wrong step taken by them proves to be difficult for them throughout their life. He told the volunteer students about their rights and duties in detail. Vimal Dhyani, member of District Child Welfare Committee, said that child crime often happens due to ignorance and fear. If you want to avoid crime, then first of all you have to remove fear from the mind. If some incident happens with a child, then first of all he should tell his parents. Otherwise inform the police or child welfare committee. The name of the child complaining is not made public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All children should be aware of their duties and rights and fundamental rights should be used properly. He said that if something untoward happens to a child at home, outside or at any other place, they can inform child helpline 1098, dial 112 or CWC on phone. The school’s principal Sunita Madhwal thanked the Child Welfare Committee Pauri and traffic police for providing information to the volunteer students.
