IFFI, scheduled to be held from November 20-28, 2024, announced its official selection in the&nbsp;<em>Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film<\/em>&nbsp;category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film Section: Official Selection<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><td><strong>Sr. No.<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Original Title of Film<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Director<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Language<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>1<\/td><td><em>Boong<\/em><\/td><td>Lakshmipriya Devi<\/td><td>Manipuri<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td><em>Gharat Ganpati<\/em><\/td><td>Navjyot Bandiwadekar<\/td><td>Marathi<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>3<\/td><td><em>Mikka Bannada Hakki (Bird of a Different Feather)<\/em><\/td><td>Manohara K<\/td><td>Kannada<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td><em>Razakar (Silent Genocide of Hyderabad)<\/em><\/td><td>Yata Satyanarayana<\/td><td>Telugu<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>5<\/td><td><em>Thanupp (The Cold)<\/em><\/td><td>Ragesh Narayanan<\/td><td>Malayalam<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Each of these films brings unique narratives and regional perspectives, highlighting India\u2019s cultural and linguistic diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Award to be presented at Closing Ceremony<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A jury will evaluate these shortlisted films during 55<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;IFFI in Goa, and the winner of the&nbsp;<em>Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film Award<\/em>&nbsp;will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on November 28, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The preview committee, comprising eminent professionals from across India&#8217;s film and arts communities, selected these five films from 117 eligible entries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Highlighting Emerging Indian Talent<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, IFFI focuses on debut Indian films to promote fresh perspectives in the film industry and encourage creativity that pushes the boundaries of traditional storytelling.
