\"\" \"\"State’s Mr. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat reached village Saknoli under development block Pokhra today, where he paid tribute by laying a wreath on the body of martyr Rifleman Mandeep Singh Negi (11 Garhwal B LOC).
\nOn the other hand, Soldier Welfare Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi, Agriculture Minister Shri Subodh Uniyal, District Magistrate Dr. Vijay Jogdande, SSP Ms. P. Renuka Devi and other dignitaries laid wreath on the mortal remains of the martyr. While the mortal remains of the martyr Mandeep Singh Negi were brought with respect to his native village Saknoli by the soldiers and military salute was given.
\nmother. Chief Minister Shri Tirath Singh Rawat consoled the family members of the martyr after meeting his mother and father. He said that all possible help would be given by the state government to the family of martyr Mandeep Singh Negi. He prayed to God that in this critical time, God will give strength to his family and give place to Martyr Mandeep Singh Negi at his feet. He said that today Shri Mandeep Singh Negi is no more with us, he has become a martyr for the country. Said that blessed are his parents who gave birth to such a brave son who has been martyred for the defense of the country and his name has been recorded on the pages of history.
\nOn this occasion Mr. Chief Minister Rawat announced that the road to the village of Shaheed Mandeep Singh Negi would be asphalt and this road would be named Shaheed Mandeep Singh Negi Marg.
\nMandeep Singh Negi, a resident of Satpuli, Pauri Garhwal, of the 11th Garhwal Rifle, was martyred while performing his duty towards the motherland in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Sainik Welfare Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that there can be no greater sorrow in the world than the loss of one’s young son. He said that the government has done a GO that if a brave martyr dies while protecting the country, then one person from his family will be given a job as per the merit. But here the situation is different, Shaheed Mandeep Singh was the only son of the Negi family. Said that this is the land of heroes. It is the duty of every countryman to respect the martyrs. Work is being done continuously in the honor of the martyrs. Said that the families of the martyr would think of doing something different for the people and would bring it to the cabinet and pass it. He promised to give twelve lakh rupees soon. Whereas Agriculture Minister Shri Subodh Uniyal talked about providing help to the martyr’s family from the state government.
\nOn this occasion, Chief Development Officer Ashish Bhatgai, Additional District Magistrate Dr. SK. Barnwal, District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer Col Om Prakash Farswan, Major Karan Singh ASP Anoop Kala along with other dignitaries, officers and a large mass of people paid tribute to the martyr with moist eyes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
