\nChief Minister sanctioned an amount of Rs 20 crore for Bhairavgarhi water scheme
\nChief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat visited the Government Inter College Jaiharikhal (pauri) established in 1932, on Monday. On this occasion Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat announced that the state government is taking a unique initiative so that the children of students do not lag behind in education. As per the initiative, there is proposal to open two residential schools one each in Garhwal and Kumoan regions equipped with all the modern facilities. He said that a place to set up the school at Jaiharikhal has been made available and the residential school there would be equipped with all the modern facilities and students belonging to every section of the society will get admission and the fee structure will also be flexible as per the paying capacity of their parents. The students who are academically brilliant but without any financial means would be given free education in these schools so that they perform well in any competition. He further said that efforts are that 10 to 15 per cent students in these two schools are admitted from across the country so that students studying in these schools get to know about various states and the country.
\nThe Chief Minister said that the slogan of central government is \u201c Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and the number of girl students and girl child sex ration has improved. He said that girls should not be considered inferior and those due to old social ills are trying to put hurdles in letting the girls join the national mainstream are enemies of the society. Giving the example of Vartika Joshi of Pauri, he said that girls are doing so well in all the fields. He said that it was his priority that no child should be without education.
\n Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the home stay managed by Vicky Rawat and also inspected it. He said that home stay is a good option of self employment and the state government plan to set up 5000 home stays in the state by the year 2020. He said that in the tourism policy, all the facilities given to SMSE units will be extended to home stay also. The government is also considering a proposal to charge domestic electricity charges from home stay to encourage them. He said that the data of tourists in the past two to three years indicate that Uttarakhand is emerging as a tourist hub. He said that the main income of the state comes from tourism and home stays are being promoted to encourage tourism.
\nChief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also inspected Hans Foundation hospital built by Hans Foundation at Chamolisain, Sartpuli and sought information about the facilities provided by the hospital. He said that Hans Foundation is doing commendable work in social sector and public welfare projects worth Rs 500 crore are being managed by the foundation in the state. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that to provide water to 56 villages of Jaiharikhal and Lansdown , a sum of Rs 20 crore have been sanctioned for the Bhairavgarhi water supply scheme and soon water supply will reach the area. He said that a lake will be built at Satmumda village so that in case of water scarcity, the water could be used from the lake.
