All drugs used in the management of COVID-19 are now available in India by ramping up production and increasing the imports. The availability of these drugs is being monitored by implementing three-pronged strategy of Supply Chain Management, Demand Side Management and Affordability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Protocol Drugs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Remdesivir<\/li>\n<li>Enoxaparin<\/li>\n<li>MethylPrednisolone<\/li>\n<li>Dexamethasone<\/li>\n<li>Tocilizumab<\/li>\n<li>Ivermectin<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Non-protocol Drugs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Favipiravir<\/li>\n<li>Amphotericin<\/li>\n<li>Apixaban<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>CDSCO and NPPA are coordinating with manufacturers to enhance production and getting data about current stock, current capacities, Projected production for the May, 2021.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Remdesivir:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Number of plants producing Remdesivir increased from 20 to 60 resulting in 3 times more availability in just 25 days.<\/li>\n<li>Production ramped up 10 times, from 10 lakhs vials\/month in April\u201921 to ~1 crore\/ month in May\u201921.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Toscilizumab injection:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>It\u00a0 is made available in the country by importing 20 times more than what was being done in normal times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Dexamethasone 0.5 mg tablets<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Production enhanced from\u00a0<strong>6-8 times\u00a0<\/strong>within a month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>\u00a0Dexamethasone Injection\u00a0<\/strong>production ramped up almost 2 times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enoxaparin Injection\u00a0<\/strong>production increased\u00a0<strong>4 times<\/strong>\u00a0in mere one month.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Methyl Prednisolone Injection:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Production increased almost 3 times in a months time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><strong>Ivermectin 12 mg tab<\/strong>\u00a0production enhanced in the country by\u00a0<strong>~5 times<\/strong>\u00a0within a month from 150 lakhs in April to 770 lakhs in May,2021.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Favirpiravir:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>A non-protocol drug but it is used to lower the virus load .<\/li>\n<li>The production increased 4 times within a month<\/li>\n<li>From 326.5 lakh in April,21 to 1644 lakh in May,21.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><strong>Amphoterecin B Injection:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Production ramped up ~ 3 times in a month.<\/li>\n<li>3.80 lakh vials are in production and<\/li>\n<li>3 lakh vials are being imported<\/li>\n<li>Total 6.80 lakh vials will be available in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/specificdocs\/documents\/2021\/may\/doc202151931.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Click here for ppt on allocation of drugs:<\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Government monitoring supply of each COVID-19 Essential Drug All COVID-19 drugs now available in India Minister of State Shri Mansukh Mandaviya today assured that the Government is monitoring supply of each COVID-19 Essential Drug.
