24-hour Recoveries Outnumber Daily New COVID Cases for Fifth Time in last 6 Days

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries have reached\u00a02,07,95,335\u00a0<\/strong>today. The National Recovery Rate\u00a0is\u00a084.25%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3,62,437\u00a0<\/strong>recoveries\u00a0were registered in the last 24 hours. It outnumbers India\u2019s Daily New COVID cases for the fifth time in the last six days.<\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a070.94%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

On the other front, India\u2019s total Active Caseload has decreased to\u00a036,18,458\u00a0<\/strong>today. It now\u00a0comprises\u00a014.66%\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0the country’s total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

A net\u00a0decline\u00a0<\/strong>of 55,344 cases is recorded in the active caseload in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10\u00a0<\/strong>States cumulatively account for\u00a074.69%<\/strong>\u00a0of India\u2019s\u00a0total Active Cases.<\/p>\n

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded\u00a018.22 Cr<\/strong>\u00a0today under the Phase-3 of the nationwide Vaccination Drive.<\/p>\n

A total of\u00a018,22,20,164\u00a0<\/strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 26,55,003sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a096,42,278\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and\u00a066,41,047\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 2nd<\/sup>dose,\u00a01,44,25,044\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a081,86,568\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose),\u00a048,25,799\u00a0<\/strong>beneficiaries under 18-44 age group (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a05,71,61,076\u00a0<\/strong>(1st<\/sup>dose) and\u00a090,66,862\u00a0<\/strong>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.\u00a05,44,69,599\u00a0<\/strong>1st<\/sup>dose beneficiaries and\u00a01,78,01,891\u00a0<\/strong>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries of more than 60 years old.<\/p>\n

More than 17 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours.As on Day-120 of the vaccination drive (15th<\/sup>\u00a0May, 2021), 17,33,232 vaccine doses were given. Across 16,027sessions, 11,30,928 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 6,02,304 beneficiaries received their 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n

Karnataka\u00a0has reported the highest daily new cases at\u00a041,664. It\u00a0is followed by Maharashtra with\u00a034,848\u00a0while Tamil Nadu reported 33,658 new cases.<\/p>\n

The National Mortality Rate currently stands at\u00a01.09%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

4,077\u00a0<\/strong>deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States account for\u00a075.55%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (960). Karnataka follows with 349 daily deaths.<\/p>\n
