India\u2019s Cumulative Vaccination Coverage exceeds 15.68 Crore as Phase-3 of Nationwide Vaccination Drive commences<\/p>\n

More than 86 thousand beneficiaries of age group 18-44 Vaccinated on Day 1 of Vaccination Drive Phase-3<\/p>\n

The Government of India along with States\/UTs through a \u2018Whole of Government\u2019 approach has embarked on a five-point strategy for prevention, containment, and management of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Vaccination forms an integral component of the five-point strategy including Test, Track, Treat, and COVID Appropriate Behaviour.<\/p>\n

The Liberalized and Accelerated Phase-3 Strategy of Covid-19 Vaccination has come into force from yesterday (1st May 2021). Registration for the newly eligible population groups had commenced on 28th April.<\/p>\n

The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed\u00a015.68 Cr\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>today as the Phase-3 of the nationwide Vaccination Drive commenced yesterday.<\/p>\n

86,023\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine across 11 States. These states are Chhattisgarh (987), Delhi (1,472), Gujarat (51,622), Jammu and Kashmir (201), Karnataka (649), Maharashtra (12,525), Odisha (97), Punjab (298), Rajasthan (1853), Tamil Nadu (527) and UP (15,792).<\/p>\n

Cumulatively,\u00a015,68,16,031\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses have been administered through 22,93,911 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a094,28,490\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and\u00a062,65,397\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose,\u00a01,27,57,529\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a069,22,093\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose), 86,023\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>beneficiaries under 18-45 age group (1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose),\u00a05,26,18,135\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries and\u00a01,14,49,310\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and\u00a05,32,80,976\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose) and\u00a040,08,078\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.<\/p>\n

Ten states account for 67.00% of the cumulative doses given so far in the country.<\/p>\n

More than 18 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

As on Day-106 of the vaccination drive (1st<\/sup>\u00a0May, 2021), 18,26,219 vaccine doses were given. Across 15,968 sessions, 11,14,214 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 7,12,005 beneficiaries received their 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries stand at\u00a01,59,92,271<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0today. The National Recovery Rate is\u00a081.77%.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

3,07,865<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a075.59%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

3,92,488\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan report\u00a072.72%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new cases.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 63,282. It is followed by Karnataka with 40,990 while Kerala reported 35,636 new cases.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s total Active Caseload has reached\u00a033,49,644<\/strong><\/b>. It now comprises\u00a017.13%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of\u00a080,934<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Twelve states cumulatively account for\u00a081.22%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of India\u2019s total Active Cases.<\/p>\n

\n

Over 29 crore tests have been conducted so far while the cumulative positivity rate has increased to 6.74%.<\/p>\n

\n

The National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently stands at 1.10%.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

3,689<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States account for\u00a076.01%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (802). Delhi follows with 412 daily deaths.<\/p>\n
