The bus at Kotdwar depot of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation going from kotdwar to Pauri exploded suddenly. As soon as the driver stopped the bus, a passenger in the back seat was badly injured. The bus of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation left for Pauri at around five in the morning with nine passengers from Kotdwar. Around 5.45 am, while the bus was going from Dugadda towards Gumkhal, during the same time, there was a sharp explosion in the bus near Bhadalikhal. As the bus driver Sunil Kumar glanced backwards, one person was lying in a badly injured position on the last seat of the bus. The glass of the bus window was also broken.<\/p>\n
The bus driver, not the police, informed the incident, after which the police team from Gumkhal reached the spot. The bus along with all the passengers was brought to the base hospital in Kotdwar, where the doctor declared the injured person dead.<\/p>\n
The deceased was identified as Shiv Singh, a resident of village Kota (Choprakot) under Thalisain block. The passengers in the bus said that while Shiva was talking on mobile phone, there was a sudden sharp explosion and the rashes of his face flew away.
