Cumulative Vaccination Coverage exceeds 8 Crore Mark<\/p>\n

Total COVID19 Tests conducted surpass 25 Crores<\/h2>\n

In a landmark achievement in India\u2019s fight against Covid19,\u00a0more than 43 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0This is the highest single day vaccination coverage in the country so far.<\/p>\n

As on Day-80 of the vaccination drive (5th<\/sup>\u00a0April, 2021),\u00a043,00,966\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses were given. Out of which, 39,00,505 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 48,095 sessions for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 4,00,461 beneficiaries received 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n

In another significant development, the cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed\u00a08.31 Cr\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>today. The first dose vaccinations have also exceeded the landmark figure of \u00a07 crore (7,22,77,309)<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0doses.<\/p>\n

Cumulatively,\u00a08,31,10,926\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses have been administered through 12,83,816 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today.\u00a0These include\u00a089,60,061\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and\u00a053,71,162\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose,\u00a097,28,713\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a042,64,691\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose), 3,41,06,071\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries and\u00a08,12,237\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and\u00a01,94,82,464\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose) and\u00a03,85,527\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) \u00a0beneficiaries aged 45 and above.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0total<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0COVID\u00a0tests conducted in the country has crossed the 25-crore mark<\/strong><\/b>. The cumulative positivity rate has marginally increased to 5.07%.<\/p>\n

\n

India\u2019s daily new cases continue to rise.\u00a096,982\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>new cases were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Eight States including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat have shown a steep rise in the COVID daily new cases.\u00a080.04%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new cases are reported from these 8 states.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 47,288. It is followed by Chhattisgarh with 7,302 while Karnataka reported 5,279 new cases.<\/p>\n

\n

Twelve States, as shown under, are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases.<\/p>\n

\n

\n

India\u2019s total Active Caseload has reached\u00a07,88,223<\/strong><\/b>. It now comprises\u00a06.21%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of\u00a046,393<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra alone accounts for nearly 57.42% of the total active caseload of the country.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries stand at\u00a01,17,32,279<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0today. The national Recovery Rate is\u00a092.48%.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

50,143<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

\n

446 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n

Eight States account for\u00a080.94%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (155). Punjab follows with 72 daily deaths.<\/p>\n

Thirteen States\/UTs have not reported any COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0These are Odisha, Assam, Puducherry, Ladakh (UT), D&D & D&N, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura,Lakshadweep, Mizoram, A&N Islands and Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n
