{"id":18078,"date":"2021-03-17T07:39:48","date_gmt":"2021-03-17T02:09:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=18078"},"modified":"2021-03-17T07:41:30","modified_gmt":"2021-03-17T02:11:30","slug":"government-of-india-launches-my-ration-mobile-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/udaen.info\/?p=18078","title":{"rendered":"Government of India launches &#8216;My Ration&#8217; mobile app"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Government of India launches &#8216;My Ration&#8217; mobile app<\/p>\n<p>On March 12, 2021, the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution launched the &#8220;Mera Ration&#8221; mobile app for ration card holders who migrate to new places in search of livelihood.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, 32 states and union territories are covered under One Nation, One Ration Card (ONORC) and the remaining four states and union territories are expected to be included in the scheme in the next few months. One Nation, One Ration Card system covers about 69 crore beneficiaries of National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the country.<\/p>\n<p>What is the National Food Security Act?<br \/>\nUnder the National Food Security Act, the Center provides highly subsidized foodgrains to more than 81 crore people through the Public Distribution System (PDS) at Rs 01\u201303 per kg.<\/p>\n<p>The Act also provides the ration card portability service &#8216;One Nation, One Ration&#8217; card (ONORC) in 32 states and union territories.<\/p>\n<p>My ration app<br \/>\nBeneficiaries will be able to use this &#8216;Mera Ration&#8217; app to identify the nearest fair price shop and check their entitlement and recent transaction details.<br \/>\nThe Android-based mobile application has been developed by the National Informatics Center (NIC).<br \/>\nIt is currently available in Hindi and English languages. Gradually, it will be made available in other 14 languages.<br \/>\nWith an aim to extend the benefits of One Nation, One Ration Card scheme (#ONORC), Dept of Food and Public Distribution Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey launched &#8216;Mera Ration&#8217; mobile app. As of now, the app is in Hindi and English but soon it will be available in 14 Indian languages. pi<br \/>\nan objective<br \/>\nThe purpose of this new mobile app is to provide the facility of ONORC related services among NFSA beneficiaries, especially migrant beneficiaries and dealers of Fair Price Shops (FPS) or ration shops and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Salient features<br \/>\n\u2022 Migrant beneficiaries will be able to enter their migration details through the mobile application.<br \/>\n\u2022 Beneficiaries can register themselves before starting their journey and this system will automatically allocate the entitled food grains.<br \/>\n\u2022 NFSA beneficiaries will also be able to use this app to identify the nearest FPS and check their food eligibility details and last six months transactions as well as the status of Aadhaar seeding.<br \/>\n\u2022 Through this app, the beneficiary will know how much ration he is entitled to and he will not need to ask the FPS dealer how much ration he will get.<\/p>\n<p>Beneficiaries can log into this app using their Aadhaar or ration card number.<\/p>\n<p>Team Udaen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government of India launches &#8216;My Ration&#8217; mobile app On March 12, 2021, the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution launched the &#8220;Mera Ration&#8221; mobile app for ration card holders who migrate to new places in search of livelihood.
