At present, work is being done in Pauri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Dehradun in the state under the ownership card scheme. As of now, the projects are in pilot phase and due to the inaccessible geographical condition of the hill districts, work was being avoided in these districts.<\/p>\n
Now the state government is preparing to start this work in Uttarkashi, Tehri and Kumaon division in Champawat and Pithoragarh in Garhwal division. Under this, the number of survey teams will also be increased and new high-tech drones will be used. According to the revenue department, new high-tech drones are also being purchased by the Indian Survey.<\/p>\n
80 percent work completed in Udham Singh Nagar
\nThe Revenue Department claims that 80 percent of the survey work has been completed in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar under the ownership plan. The survey will now be started in Dehradun Tehsil in Doon.<\/p>\n
Mountains challenge, drones are crashing
\nSurveying drones in the mountains is also proving challenging. Drones are also crashing here. On the other hand, surveying in the mountains is taking too much time. The department has faced this challenge while working in Pauri. In view of this, the department has also sought to increase the number of high-tech drones and survey teams from the Indian survey.<\/p>\n
The scheme is also very useful for panchayats
\nUnder this scheme, a digital map of the villages is to be made. Due to these maps in the Gram Panchayat area, people are being shown the ownership of their houses, shops etc. through a card. For this reason, the scheme has also been named as proprietary. Panchayats will also be able to maintain their property in a better way by making a map.<\/p>\n
This work is to be done across the state by 2022. That is why survey work is being started in four hill districts. Its order has been issued and preparations are now being made. These cards have been made in about 6500 villages.
