On the Occasion of National Youth Day, Atal Innovation Mission launches new edition of Atal Tinkering Lab handbook

Atal Innovation Mission, NITI\u00a0Aayog\u00a0today\u00a0launched its\u00a0new edition of Atal Tinkering Lab handbook which reinforces detailed establishment and operational processes of the Atal Tinkering Labs and its journey towards an innovative \u2018Aatmanirbhar\u00a0Bharat\u2019.<\/p>\n

The publication coincides\u00a0with the\u00a0birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, also celebrated as the National Youth Day\u00a0to honor\u00a0the\u00a0birthday of Swami Vivekananda who\u00a0voiced\u00a0the important role that\u00a0youth\u00a0play in the building up of\u00a0a strong nation throughout his life.<\/p>\n

The handbook named \u2018The Atal Tinkering Lab Handbook 2.0\u2019 outlines a practical guidance on structural, selection, establishment and celebration aspects\u00a0of the\u00a0AIM\u2019s flagship\u00a0ATL\u00a0programme.<\/p>\n

This handbook, which is\u00a0available\u00a0online on AIM\u2019s official website,\u00a0also\u00a0provides a\u00a0detailed\u00a0guidance\u00a0for\u00a0schools across the country\u00a0on building\u00a0a technically robust\u00a0mechanism of grass root innovations through ATLs.<\/p>\n

Gracing the occasion through a special video message, NITI\u00a0Aayog\u00a0Vice Chairman\u00a0Dr\u00a0Rajiv Kumar said,\u00a0\u201cToday, on the occasion of Vivekananda\u00a0Jayanti, we launch the 2nd version of the ATL Handbook which encompasses 3 years of on-the-ground work done by the AIM team in a framework using 4 key pillars of the ATL initiative \u2013 Selection, Establishment, Enablement, and Celebration. This Handbook is one more important addition to NITI\u00a0Aayog\u2019s\u00a0arsenal of quality Policy works, and is rooted with\u00a0best practices in\u00a0grassroot\u00a0experiences and interventions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mission\u00a0Director of AIM, and Additional Secretary NITI\u00a0Aayog\u00a0Mr\u00a0R\u00a0Ramanan\u00a0in a virtual release of the handbook, spoke\u00a0about the objectives of one of the most ambitious\u00a0programmes of AIM viz\u00a0Atal Tinkering Labs, and enlightened the participants about its benefits.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis book will be a one stop reference for all schools, mentors and innovators in knowing various aspects of Atal tinkering\u00a0labs and leveraging the same.\u00a0We have simplified this book in its usage and it contains QR codes which leads to more detailed links about various aspects of the programme,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Mission High Level Committee (MHLC) Board Member, AIM, NITI\u00a0Aayog\u00a0Dr Vijay\u00a0Chauthaiwale\u00a0quoted Swami\u00a0Vivekananda\u00a0in his address to students and advised them to go through his teachings in order to aspire higher and achieve audacious goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cATL has been a\u00a0great learning experience for all of us to witness as to how the innovation ecosystem is being inculcated among the young minds\u00a0of the country through Atal Innovation Mission.\u00a0I would advise all the schools and students to utilise this publication to the fullest.\u00a0\u00a0I would like\u00a0to emphasize that all students should be able to take\u00a0risks and\u00a0must not\u00a0fear\u00a0about the failures,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
