India\u2019s Active Caseload continues on the downward slope; at 2.54 lakh after 179 days

India\u2019s total Active Caseload continues to exhibit a sustained downward movement.\u00a0 It has significantly dropped to\u00a02.54 lakh (2,54,254<\/strong>) today. This is the\u00a0lowest after 179 days.<\/strong>\u00a0The total active cases were\u00a02,53,287 on 6th<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

India\u2019s present active caseload consists of just\u00a02.47%\u00a0<\/strong>of India\u2019s Total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The daily new cases in India in the recent days have been around 20,000. The new cases in the last 24 hours were\u00a020,035<\/strong>\u00a0whereas\u00a023,181<\/strong>recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. Recoveries outnumbering daily new cases from\u00a0last 35 days\u00a0<\/strong>have ensured a consistent decline in active cases.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The total recovered cases are\u00a0nearing 99 lakh<\/strong>\u00a0(98,83,461)<\/strong>. The gap between Recovered Cases and Active Cases, that is steadily increasing, has crossed 96 lakh and presently stands at\u00a096,29,207<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The difference in the New Recoveries outnumbering New Cases has also improved the Recovery Rate to\u00a096.08%<\/strong>today.<\/p>\n

77.61%<\/strong>\u00a0of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States\/UTs.<\/p>\n

Kerala\u00a0has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 5,376 newly recovered cases.\u00a03,612 people recovered in Maharashtra followed by 1,537 inWest Bengal.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

80.19% of the new cases<\/strong>\u00a0are concentrated in 10 States and UTs.<\/p>\n

Kerala reported the highest daily new cases at5,215. It is followed by Maharashtra with 3,509 new cases.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

256<\/strong>case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States\/UTs account for80.47%<\/strong>of new deaths.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (58). Kerala and West Bengal follow with 30 and 29 daily deaths, respectively.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Daily deaths have been\u00a0less than 300 since the last 7 days<\/strong>. This has ensured that the mortality remains low and presently stands at\u00a01.45%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Five States viz Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi account for\u00a063%<\/strong>\u00a0of total deaths in the country.<\/p>\n
