Landmark peak in India’s Covid19 trajectory- Daily new cases drop to 18,732 after 6 months

India has scaled a significant peak in the fight against the global pandemic.<\/p>\n

Daily new caseload\u00a0dropped below 19,000 after 6 months. 18,732<\/strong>\u00a0were added to the national tally in the last 24 hours. The new added cases were\u00a018,653<\/strong>\u00a0on 1st<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2020.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s total Active Caseload has fallen to\u00a02.78 lakh<\/strong>\u00a0(2,78,690<\/strong>) today. This is the\u00a0lowest after 170 days.<\/strong>\u00a0The total active cases were\u00a02,76,682 on 10th<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The country has reported a trend of sustained decrease in the number of active cases. India\u2019s present active caseload consists of just\u00a02.74%\u00a0<\/strong>of India\u2019s Total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

21,430\u00a0<\/strong>cases recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours. This has led to a net decline of\u00a02,977\u00a0<\/strong>from the total active caseload.<\/p>\n

The total recovered cases stand at\u00a097,61,538<\/strong>. The gap between Recovered Cases and Active Cases, that is steadily increasing, is nearing\u00a095 lakhs<\/strong>\u00a0and presently stands at\u00a094,82,848<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The difference in the New Recoveries outnumbering New Cases has also improved the Recovery Rate to\u00a095.82%\u00a0<\/strong>today. This difference is continuously growing as the recoveries outpace the daily new cases.<\/p>\n

72.37%<\/strong>\u00a0of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States\/UTs.<\/p>\n

Kerala has reported the maximum number of single day recoveries with 3,782 newly recovered cases. 1,861 people recovered in West Bengal followed by 1,764 in Chhattisgarh.<\/p>\n

76.52% of the new cases<\/strong>\u00a0are concentrated in 10 States and UTs.<\/p>\n

Kerala reported the highest daily new cases at 3,527. It is followed by Maharashtra with 2,854 new cases.<\/p>\n

279\u00a0<\/strong>case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States\/UTs account for\u00a075.27%\u00a0<\/strong>of new deaths.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (60). West Bengal and Delhi follow with 33 and 23 daily deaths, respectively.<\/p>\n
