Over 57,000 people in the country got cured and returned to their homes in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>With this, the cumulative recoveries from COVID-19 in the country inched further closer to touch the two million mark. So far, a total of 18,08,936 people have recovered in the country and with this the nationwide recovery rate has further improved to 71.61 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>32 States and Union Territories have exceeded the 50 per cent recovery mark whereas 12 States and UTs have recorded a recovery rate higher than the national average of 71.61 per cent.\u00a0The case fatality rate continues to show steady decline and now stands at 1.94 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>The Health Ministry said, 65,002 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 25,26,193.<\/p>\n<p>Presently, the total number of active corona cases in the country is 6,68,220.
