Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Package-Progress So Far

\nMore than 42 crore poor people received financial assistance of Rs 65,454 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

As part of the Rs 1.70 lakh crore\u00a0Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan P<\/strong>ackage,<\/strong>\u00a0the Government announced free food grains and cash payment to women and poor senior citizens and farmers. The swift implementation of the package is being continuously monitored by central and state governments.\u00a0More than<\/strong>42crore<\/strong>\u00a0poor people received financial assistance of\u00a0<\/strong>Rs 65,454crore<\/strong>\u00a0under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The progress achieved so far, under various components of PMGKP is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  • Rs 1<\/strong>7,891<\/strong>\u00a0crore front loaded towards payment of the first instalment of PM-KISAN to\u00a08.9<\/strong>4<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>\u00a0beneficiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    • Rs 10<\/strong>,325<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>\u00a0credited to\u00a020.<\/strong>6<\/strong>5crore<\/strong>(100%) women Jan Dhan account holders as first installment.Rs. 10,315 crore credited to20.62crore (100%)\u00a0<\/strong>women Jan Dhan account holders with second installment.Rs.\u00a0<\/strong>10,312<\/strong>\u00a0crore credited to<\/strong>20.62<\/strong>\u00a0crore (<\/strong>100<\/strong>%)\u00a0<\/strong>women Jan Dhan account holders with third installment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Total Rs 2814.5 crore<\/strong>\u00a0disbursed to about 2.81 crore old age persons, widows and disabled persons in two installments.Benefits tran<\/em><\/strong>s<\/em><\/strong>ferred to all 2.81 crore beneficiaries in two installments.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
      • 2.3 crore<\/strong>\u00a0Building & Construction workers received financial support amounting to\u00a0Rs 4312.82crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      • So far\u00a01<\/strong>13<\/strong>Lakh MT<\/strong>\u00a0of food grains have been lifted by\u00a036\u00a0<\/strong>States\/UTs for April.3<\/strong>7.01<\/strong>\u00a0LMT<\/strong>\u00a0of foodgrains have been distributed,covering\u00a07<\/strong>4<\/strong>.<\/strong>03<\/strong>crore<\/strong>beneficiaries by\u00a036<\/strong>States\/UTs for\u00a0April<\/strong>\u00a02020.\u00a03<\/strong>6<\/strong>.<\/strong>42<\/strong>\u00a0LMT<\/strong>\u00a0of food grains have been distributed, covering\u00a07<\/strong>2<\/strong>.<\/strong>83<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>\u00a0beneficiaries by 36 States\/UTs for\u00a0May<\/strong>\u00a02020.\u00a013<\/strong>.<\/strong>59<\/strong>\u00a0LMT<\/strong>\u00a0of foodgrains have been distributed, covering\u00a027<\/strong>.<\/strong>18<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>\u00a0beneficiaries by 29 States\/UTs for\u00a0June<\/strong>\u00a02020. Out of 5.8 LMT of Pulses allocated for three months,\u00a05.<\/strong>68<\/strong>LMT of Pulses\u00a0<\/strong>have been dispatched to various states\/UTs.<\/em>Total 3.35LMT Pulses have been distributed so far to 16.3 crore household beneficiaries out of 19.4 crore such beneficiaries.28 States\/UTs have distributed 100% Pulses for April, 20 States\/UTs have completed 100% distribution for Pulses for May, 7 States\/UTs have completed 100% distribution for June.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Under Atma Nirbhar Bharat, Government an<\/strong>nounced Free food grains supply and Chana\u00a0<\/strong>to migrants for 2 months.<\/strong>As on 19th June ,2020<\/strong>, 6.3 LMT foodgrains has been lifted by 36 States\/UTs and 34,074 MT of Chana have also been dispatched to States\/UTs for the Scheme.<\/li>\n
        • Total\u00a0<\/strong>8.52\u00a0<\/strong>crorePMUY cylinders have been booked and already delivered for April and May 2020 under this scheme so far.And\u00a02<\/strong>.<\/strong>1<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>\u00a0PMUY cylinders booked for\u00a0June<\/strong>\u00a02020 and\u00a01.87<\/strong>\u00a0crore<\/strong>PMUY free cylinders delivered to beneficiaries for June 2020.<\/li>\n
        • 20<\/strong>.<\/strong>22<\/strong>Lakh members<\/strong>\u00a0of EPFO has taken benefit of online withdrawal of non-refundable advance from EPFO account amounting to Rs.\u00a05767<\/strong>crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Increased rate has been notified w.e.f 01-04-2020.In the current financial year,\u00a088.73<\/strong>crore\u00a0<\/strong>person\u2019s man-days of work generated. Further,\u00a0Rs\u00a0<\/strong>36,379<\/strong>crore released to states to liquidate pending dues of both wage and material.<\/li>\n
        • 24%\u00a0EPF contribution\u00a0<\/strong>transferred to 65.74 Lakh employees account amounting to Rs. 996.46crore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Under District Mineral Fund (DMF)<\/strong>, States have been asked to spend 30% of the funds,which amounts to 3,787 Cr and that 183.65 cr has been spent so far.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Insurance Scheme for health workers<\/strong>\u00a0in Government hospitals and Health care centers operationalized w.e.f. 30 March, 2020. New India Assurance Scheme is implementing the scheme.\u00a0The Scheme has been extended up to September.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
